Expansion between the coping and pool deck is an integral part of your swimming pool. This space must be sealed at all times. In the wintertime, if water is able to set in this area, you will begin to see problems develop with your pool beam, tile and coping. As the water freezes and expands, this pushes against the beam of your pool causing the beam to be compromised and forcing the tile and coping to move. This can cause quite an expensive problem.
